Two weeks of not taking pretty pictures

I, Sivert Almvik, declare that in the period from 20/04/2026 to 04/05/2026, I am suspending my own taste. I declare that the pretty is my opponent. Not the technical, not the composed, not the planned – these are merely symptoms. The pretty is the disease. The pretty is the image that asks to be liked. The pretty is the image I dare to show. The pretty is the image I know works. For two weeks, I shall create images I do not want to show anyone. I commit myself to the following: I shall photograph at least five days a week, at least one hour per session. I shall use a Nikon Zf with a 28 mm lens. No other cameras, no other focal lengths. I shall not look at the rear screen during a session. I shall not delete any images before the period is over. I shall walk routes I haven’t walked before, or walk familiar routes at times I don’t usually walk them. I shall go closer than I am comfortable with.
