You may recall back in the post about building the lunar loco I discussed how to juggle relative sizes of things on layouts so that big things looked big even though they might be considerably smaller than their prototypes, and I also discussed scale considerations. After Debra finished building the Lego Tintin rocket I pulled out the lunar loco and the Tintin-ized Airfix astronaut to do a size comparison. Looking at the photo I'm thinking that proposing OO scale for the layout was the right way to go. The loco and astronaut do look small compared to the rocket, but are still recognizable and relatable.
