After the break down in France then delivery of the truck back to me in Holland via my car service over a month ago, Chuck is working again. And I’m a little pissed off as to the reason why it’s taken so freaking long! This whole time I was saving money to get all the parts I needed to rebuild the transmission that I didn't think about the simplest fix… The fucking cooler hoses! All I had to do was to replace the hoses (above), add a bunch of transmission fluid (bellow), then test the gears to see if they shift well. I also removed the hood carpet (or whatever it’s called). Because of the fire last year and the transmission oil all over it. I’m ‘back on the road’ but will have to take it easy and make sure all the gears are shifting properly and not get stranded, again. But I will at some point do a full transmission rebuild, but now at least I can be a little more mobile. The hoses I used were simple rubber ones And although then have good PSI and heat ratings I’ll be upgrading them…
