We don’t have a newsletter anymore – we do this instead, in the same format, with a bit of something new, some updates, and a recap of what we’ve posted in the past month. We reconnected with St Austell Proper Job last night, remembered how much we love it, and realised that we’ve been taking it for granted. We don’t often end up in the pub on Saturday these days because we’ve found that if we aim to stop drinking before 7pm we can usually get a decent night’s sleep and avoid hangovers. Because we’ve got particularly hectic diaries at the moment, however, and will barely see each other next week, we decided to break the routine. But where to go? One of the contenders to be our local here in Bristol is The George & Dragon on Church Road. It’s not much closer than, say, The Swan With Two Necks in town, but does have a different feel.
