just a quick update: had a lot of fun checking out the alt: games expo today. only got to play two games but they were both really cool - noibs and penguin colony. noibs was very fun and silly, and i got a little sticker of the guy i created after i played lol. would be good to play with friends. as a big fan of the thing, penguin colony was really interesting (includes voice acting from lenval brown!). i had actually heard of the devs before with umurangi generation, but i haven't played it so i didn't realise until after i'd finished the demo that it was the same team. very keen to check it out when the full release happens. other games i saw but didn't get a chance to play that looked cool: dungeons of freeport, dawn chorus (which i'm now realising i have actually played another game this person worked on, neurokino retrograde), and angel. i feel motivated to get out there a bit more and go to game events, but mostly i just wanna work on my own game so i can give an answer more…
