It’s a cool, peaceful, sunny morning at the campground. The only sounds I hear are birds singing in the trees. There’s no human activity in the cabins, tents, RVs, or trailers… yet. No dogs barking, no golf carts roaming, just soothing sounds of nature. In the flower-bed of the cabin next to my campsite…A bird rustles through the sprouted foliage gathering fixin’s to make a nest - or maybe adding on to its current nest. The bird flies away with a dried leaf in its beak - soon returning for more treasures. From under my deck…Miss Chippy (chipmunk) appears - as she does most every morning. She lives under the deck. I often catch her sitting at the corner of the deck as if pondering what she sees. It seems Miss Chippy and I have something in common! The campground has themed weekends…This weekend’s theme is Mother’s Day with family activities starting in a few hours. There will most likely be a pancake breakfast tomorrow morning in honor of us Moms. I can’t participate (food allergies)…
