After the (quite terrible) Black Tulip I was ready for more Dumas. Therefore: Three Musketeers. It's (as I've been told) more accessible than Count de Monte Christo . As a bonus: I've seen the movies a few decades ago, but I don't remember what they were all about. Another bonus: I'm showing Dogtanian to The Kid, so it was time. And so I've finished it a few days ago and I have to say that it was the most fun I've had in ages. I've read some fun novels recently, but this one is on another level. While it's long (and split into two volumes) , I finished in 10 days and it was so much joy! Moreover, since I had no memory of it from the movies, it was not what I expected. D'Artagnan leaves his family town and travels to Paris, to join The Musketeers. His father tells him to use his life as much as he can, and to fight on every occasion.
