Experimenting with RSS... recently I met İpek Burçak and Eren İleri of Well Gedacht Publishing who have published a couple of (very cool) small guides for self-publishing both online and offline. For the longest time, I just couldn't break through RSS as a concept and from a UX perspective. It seemed that every RSS reader I tried out on my iPhone was either much too complicated or didn't explain anything at all. I never understood how I would add RSS feeds from outlets I was interested in. I also wasn't sure what I could expect: Should I look for something that syncs my read articles across phone and desktop, or was that too much to ask? I bought the app Reeder for iOS upon İpek's recommendation, accepted some of the uncomfortable answers and put some question to the side for now. For example, I need to manually look for an outlet's RSS feed and manually copy + paste it into that app. There's no unified search where you just enter e.g. "BBC News" and the search suggests all of the RSS…
