Suburbs around northern Sydney are undergoing some “hazard reduction backburning”, now that the weather has cooled down and there isn’t too much wind. The sky looks unreal. My XD card reader finally arrived for my inherited 2007 Olympus bridge camera, so I used its massive telephoto zoom to try some evening shots. Aside from setting a -1 exposure compensation, this is straight out of the camera without any colour tweaking. By Ruben Schade in Sydney, 2026-04-16.
