I love the idea of Record Store Day but I no longer have a turntable, cassette deck or CD player despite the hundreds of vinyl records going mouldy in my garage (wanna buy them?). These days I want less stuff, not more. You’ll understand when you’re in your fifties. I love to buy albums digitally on Bandcamp (or Qobuz/7digital/Juno if it’s a major label) after using Spotify to try-before-you-buy, but it’s an underwhelming experience. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to do this...

Really love this idea from @lylo. Was thinking about it on my way home from work today as I passed by a local record store. Would be such a cool idea to bring analog/digital together.
@lylo
This sort-of exists. You can buy physical gift cards for Amazon, iTunes, Spotify etc. Albeit not for specific albums & groups. The retailer does get a cut of that revenue.
It would be lovely if BandCamp sold physical gift cards. At the moment you have to print them out yourself.
@bubbles That's true... but it supports Bandcamp/Spotify not the store? Unless they get a cut? Not sure how that works. Would be better if they could get a larger chunk
