The idea also relates back to The Paradox of Choice by Barry Schwartz who highlighted that more options actually makes people feel worse about their decision. It’s a good reminder that committing & doing the thing, whatever it may be, is a better decision-making strategy than holding out for “the best” since “the best” is almost always a mental mirage anyway.
