It was a nice Saturday afternoon, and we heard of an Alfajor Festival happening nearby and so we went! Alfajor is an iconic dessert in Argentina, and I would like to apologise for not having a photo because we devoured them already, but here’s a photo from Google! It’s usually a chocolate-covered cookies filled with dulce de leche (most of the time). The Alfajor festival is a way to celebrate the treat and local businesses in the area, and here are some photos I took. This is our first alfajor of the day. We got intrigued by its shape, and they were sold out a few minutes before we decided to buy more triangular ones. Apart from the stalls, the local chess club also held a chess competition amongst kids and passer-bys! Mi billetera, mi traductor, mi vida. We bought 2 bottles of coffee liquor, a bottle of ginebra, and a jar of pickles. We bought more alfajores in Amas. They my favourite flavour thus far: Brownie!
