Has it really been nearly two months since I last posted? Apparently so! I hadn’t meant to be gone so long, but you know how it gets sometimes. It is finally springtime here in Stephen King Country, meaning breezy and rainy, the air full of allergens. The past few days I’ve been feeling the pollen in my itchy eyes, and my stuffy nose. I have a memory like a goldfish for that, always forgetting how my allergies irritate me once the flowers begin to bloom. Jerks. Speaking of jerks, so far the black flies haven’t been particularly noticeable. Last year at this time, we were wearing netting over our heads when we went outside to keep the little buggers off our faces and out of our ears and noses and eyes, but this year so far we’ve been in the clear. Maybe the long cold winter put a damper on them this year. Maybe they’re saving it all up for an assault in June. I’ll be sure to keep you informed as time goes by.
