Hey people! For today’s “Bibiel Hears Things” feature, I thought we could stay in Swedish vispop territory a little bit longer, after having featured Melina Borglowe several days ago, and chose a song by a very popular Swedish singer-songwriter called Melissa Horn. I believe she’s not all that popular outside of Sweden, since the absolute vast majority of her lyrics are in Swedish, but in Sweden she’s very well-known, and was one of the first artists I came across when I started getting into Swedish pop music and generally the Swedish music scene. At this point, now that I’ve been decently familiar with Swedish music both mainstream and more niche, she honestly feels very normie to me because of how mainstream she seems to be in her home country, but I still do like her. She has this very interesting delivery that feels quite reserved but also super expressive at the same time, and, I don’t know if it’s something that everyone would feel from her voice, maybe it’s just my synaesthesia…
