About a month ago my wife and I made our usual trek to see her parents. We started our drive later than usual so we were still on the road early evening (~5pm). The clouds in the sky were dramatic, and I wanted a picture. But I wanted something a little different. I've been thinking about trying to take pictures from different perspectives lately, so I opened my camera app and pointed it straight up, snapping pictures through the car windshield. The results pre-edits were stunning but I wanted to punch them up a little more in Lightroom. Dark storm clouds cover the sky with a small break allowing sunlight to peek through, creating a dramatic and moody atmosphere over tree silhouettes.
