A fun week here in sunny athens! 21ºC on the balcony at midnight the other day, you can’t beat t-shirt weather at night. Just as well as I’ve been doing a great deal of sitting outdoors and eating as my art teacher from school is in town for 10 days. I’d not seen her for over 30 years, but she’s as fun and sprightly as she was back then. She’s exploring the town with gusto – relentlessly hitting all the museums, antiquities, galleries, and with my help – bars and tavernas. Notes Greek lessons continue, I continue to struggle, I continue to persevere. I enjoy heading in to town for them, and I enjoy my beer in O Glykys after my wednesday lesson. Haircut I went to get my hair cut at my new cheapo place in marousi, but the seats were all full of extremely elderly people. This sight made me re-evaluate and return instead to the more expensive but considerably more hip barbers (barber star) in exarcheia, who did an excellent job.
